The Le: So what do you think of Dawn of War 2?
Goldeeh: I liked Dawn of War 2, but I liked the original better (I have all the expansions, including Soul Storm). Dawn of War 2 plays more like an RPG (like Diablo, Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, etc. minus the NPCs and quests) than a strategy game. I think DOW2 is more like an updated version of Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate (yeah, I used to play that game… or at least tried to. Back then, I didn’t know that it was based on a tabletop game) than a sequel to the original DOW.
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed when I first played DOW2 because I expected a "traditional" strategy game where I could build massive armies to annihilate my enemies (who cares about plot? I just want to destroy!).
