I know that sculpt is yucky!! Once you do some sculpt swapping and get past the horror that is happy meal Spidey, you get an incredibly affordable choice that can deal some real damage with a great keyword selection. For 50 points, you really can’t ask for much more out of a Heroclix character. This Spidey has solid combat values and powers that have made him a go-to choice for many theme teams like the Avengers, Fantastic Four and Scientist.

His 6 range and 3 damage value can take some by surprise, but the Web Punch special power is what really makes this Spiderman so spectacular. He lacks Super Strength, but he has the potential to hit an opponent for 6 damage in a single turn. With a little help from his FF teammates (Reed can offer a +2 Perplex), he can potentially land the first hit for 10 damage - ouch!
Dr Faustin's note: Theoretically you could do 16 damage to someone without damage reduction if you have enough Perplex power: Each attack can deal 3 natural damage +3 from Perplex, +1 from a Critical Hit and +1 for being knocked into a wall... per attack.
In golden age games, feats like Lunge and Maneuver make him shine while keeping his cost pretty low. Also, consider trying him out with a Crimson Gem of Cytorrak, and he becomes Namor-lite. He’s number 2 on the list because he is just so darn versatile for his points. Whether you are playing golden or modern age, this Spider-man is an incredible bargain for his points.
