For 80 points, the Nova Corps Denarian only comes with 6 clicks of life, but it's the powers that really makes him worth it.
We start off very quickly with some great opening clicks -- Charge, Super Strength, and Toughness/Invunerability. Thanks to those great combinations, grabbing a heavy object will let you do [3] + [2] damage, enough to give anyone a headache. Having Flight also helps quite a bit, because it allows you to Charge and pull an object out from under an opposing figure (rather than simply stopping).
Don't want to get close? No problem, Nova Corps Denarian's got a respectable range of 6 to take pot shots.
Once he gets to the midde of his dial, he loses Charge and Super Strength, but that doesn't mean he's useless. In fact, his Defense pops back up to [17] with Invulnerability. And if you lose that, you'll pop right into 2 clicks of Energy Shield/Deflection and Ranged Combat Expert!
Now if if you manage to make it all the way to the end of the dial, Nova Corps Denarian's got one last click of Spite... I mean Pulse Wave. Of course by then he's a sitting duck with just a [14] defense, but if the enemy's pushed then you might be able to pull out 2 Pulse Wave hits, thanks to Willpower. Or you could use that Willpower to make like a tree and get the heck out of there.
Last but not least, Nova Corps Denarian has a Trait that applies to all the other Nova Corps members out there. Let's take a look at that Trait:
Share Through the Worldmind: Friendly characters with the Nova Corps keyword can use Super Senses, if they can't already, but only succeed on a roll of 6. Once per turn, give an adjacent friendly character with the Nova Corps Keyword a power action and you may reroll an attack roll made by Nova corps Denarian later this turn.
Not too shabby. Sure, the Super Senses only works on roll of "6", but it's still a nice ability to have if your other Nova Corps members only have damage reduction. Now, there might need to be some clarification on the last half of that Trait, but it's still going to be useful regardless.
