#3 Superman (JL52 001)
Sporting the spiffy New 52 design, this strange visitor fits the bill near perfectly. This Superman plays like Superman should. His special power on his starting clix really contributes to his dial, keeping him safe from having his impervious countered by characters less than 100 points.
At 204 points he is a bit pricy in the 300 point format, but he leaves just enough points to get him the support he needs. All the right keywords make team building a snap for this version. A full dial of -2 damage reducing powers doesn’t hurt either. Late dial Hypersonic Speed brings him back in the game with a vengeance and can make keeping up with him very challenging. The Indomitable ability is what gives him a slight edge over the competition and helps him nail the number 3 spot.

Why he’s #3
As near perfect a Superman dial as he is, his reduced range and lack of upfront move and attack ranged combat capabilities (just Charge) make positioning him a bit more challenging. Still this isn’t too terrible to work out, but numbers 1 and 2 on this list certainly don’t have that issue.
From Wikipedia: The origin story of Superman relates that he was born Kal-El on the planet Krypton, before being rocketed to Earth as an infant by his scientist father Jor-El, moments before Krypton's destruction. Discovered and adopted by a Kansas farmer and his wife, the child is raised as Clark Kent and imbued with a strong moral compass. Very early he started to display superhuman abilities, which upon reaching maturity, he resolved to use for the benefit of humanity.
