SHARKNADO SINGLE SCENARIO RULES
Below are special rules to play solo. Note that it could also be played with multiple players if you prefer.
TEAM
Build a team of any point value: 300, 400, 500, 600, etc... you get 1 action token per 100 points. (i.e. 500 point team = 5 action tokens per turn)
SHARKNADO
Sharknado is represented by the gold-bordered 4x4 token below; before the game begins, print it out and place it in the middle of the map.
Continued below..
1) MOVING SHARKNADO
Sharknado does not move in the single player scenario. Sharknado is considered an indestructible blocking terrain.
2) FLYING SHARKS
At the end of your turn, roll 1d6 for each character you have on the board. On a result of 5-6, place a SHARK token adjacent to that character (printout available on the right).
After all sharks have been placed, each shark on the board immediately makes a single Blades/Claws/Fangs attack against each adjacent character (as free actions).
3) SHARKS ARE PEOPLE TOO
In the single player scenario, Sharks are treated as 1-life characters -- you must stop if you move next to it, you must make breakaway rolls to get away, etc. You can try to KO a shark to remove it off the board -- to KO a shark, you must attack it as you would any character -- it's Defense value is 13.
SHARKNADO DEBRIS (PLAYER'S TURN)
The Sharknado is a terrifying windstorm at it's core, so watch out for debris! At the beginning of your turn, do the following:
•Characters within 5 squares of Sharkando rolls 3 dice. If any of the dice results in a "1", then that character takes 1 unavoidable damage for each of them.
•Characters within 6-10 squares of Sharknado rolls 2 dice instead.
•Characters 11 squares or farther from Sharknado rolls 1 dice instead.
PROBABILITY CONTROL CLARIFICATION
Sharknado is immune to Probability Control, but the Shark's Blades/Claws/Fangs attack is not immune.
STRANDED BYSTANDERS
In the single player scenario, print out the Stranded Bystanders (below) and place them in the opposing starting area. For shorter games, place 1-3 Stranded Bystanders this way and ignore the rest.
Stranded Bystanders cannot be KO'ed, but they can be "carried" by any character (as if that character has the Carry ability). If a character is KO'ed while carrying a Stranded Bystander, place the Bystander in the same square as the KO'ed character.
If a character cerrying a Bystander takes damage, roll a 1 die; on a result of 1 or 2, the character drops the Bystander in an adjacent square (drop the Bystander after damage is dealt, but before knockback is applied).
If you carry a Stranded Bystander all they way back to your starting area, it is considered "Rescued" -- immediately remove that Stranded Bystander from the game and receive +100 victory Points.
WINNING
The single player scenario is point based. You win if you rescue at least 1 Stranded Bystander.
•For each rescued Stranded Bystander, you receive +100 points
•For each KO'ed character, you are penalized -50 points.
•If you're team build is 600 points or greater, at the beginning of the game you are immediately penalized -50 points, with an addition -50 points for every 100 points after that. Example, if you have an 800 point team, you are penalized -150 points.
How many points can you get?
