#4: Cosmic "Broken" Spider-Man
Cosmic Spider-Man is still the same powerhouse he was when we first saw him. At 319 points, he's still a little undercosted. His standard powers alone make him powerful -- Hypersonic Speed, Running Shot, Incapacitate, Impervious, Invulnerability, Ranged Combat Expert, etc.
But he's also immune to Outwit and has Willpower, thanks to the Power Cosmic. Toss in Flight, a massive [10] range and 2 ranged attacks, and you have someone who can deal [4] damage to nearly anyone. And did we mention his line of fire is never blocked? Yeah, totally broken.
Fortunately there's a couple ways to deal with Cosmic Spider-Man -- Eric Schaen wrote a great piece called Take 'Em Down: Spider-Man.
While this is easily the most powerful Spider-Man HeroClix out there, there's a couple things preventing it from being in the top 3. First and foremost, he's 319 points... which means he can only be fielded in a 400 point game or higher (thank God). Secondly, he's a complete tent-pole piece. Unless you're playing a 600+ point game, he won't play well on teams. And finally, he's just down right broken. Not sure what WK was thinking when they made Cosmic Spider-Man, but he's really awful to play against. He's truly a great figure, but doesn't make for a very balanced team due to the extremely high points.
From wikipedia: Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is a fictional character, a comic book superhero that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko, he first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 (cover-dated Aug. 1962). Lee and Ditko conceived the character as an orphan being raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, and as a teenager, having to deal with the normal struggles of adolescence in addition to those of a costumed crimefighter.
